6/05/11 - 12:50 pm: False evidence of registration on vehicle at MC. Officer was patrolling when he came in contact with subject vehicle. As officer could not see current registration tab on vehicle, he stopped to interview driver, who was acting suspiciously. After running registration through Dispatch, officer determined that the driver had tags from another vehicle affixed to his vehicle. Driver was cited and released. Report taken.
6/6/11 - 8:30 pm: Theft from conex box on softball field at VC. Employee advised Police that unknown person(s) cut lock off the subject box with unknown tool and took a pitching machine. Officers investigated and found the box had been damaged as well; the metal brackets which the lock is placed through, were cut and the box cannot be re-locked. Report taken.
6/21/11 - 9:00 am: Vandalism to vehicle in E-lot at VC. Victim advised Police she had parked her vehicle in the E-lot. When she returned, she saw that her driver's side door had been etched with an unknown sharp object. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.
6/21/11 - 1:00 pm: Theft of bicycle and accessories from bike rack south of Science Bldg at VC. Victim advised Police he had parked and secured his bicycle and helmet at the bike rack by the Science Bldg. When he returned, the bike, helmet and chain were gone. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.
6/23/11 - 9:45 am: Suspicious subject in classroom at VC. Non-student entered classroom, where he proceeded to say several strange things and write odd things on the white board. Police interviewed him in the Bookstore, and advised if he didn't have business on the campus, to leave. Report taken.
6/23/11 - 10:00 am: Vehicle vandalism in C-lot at MC. Employee reported unknown person used unknown sharp object to scratch his vehicle's right rear fender. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.
6/23/11 - 11:13 am: Petty theft from M&O vehicle at MC. Employee reported to Campus Police he witnessed suspect remove a line trimmer from a maintenance truck parked in the M&O yard. Report taken; investigation continues.
6/28/11 - 8:00 am: Report of graffiti at OC. Officers responded to report of graffiti appearing on college signs and bus stop. Unknown person(s) used blue marker to write illegible markings. Report taken.
6/28/11 - 12:00 pm: Battery in E lot at VC. Victim reported to Campus Police that as she was driving in the E lot, another vehicle cut off her vehicle. The driver exited his vehicle and approached her while she was stopped in traffic, made an obscene remark, and spat at her. Investigation continues; report taken.
6/28/11 - 7:35 pm: Dog confined in vehicle with windows almost all the way up. Officers responded to a call of a dog left in a vehicle. They found the dog with no food or water; the ambient outside temperature was above 80 degrees, and was much warmer inside the van. They removed the dog for it's welfare, and left a note stating the dog could be reclaimed from the Campus Police Station. The owner retrieved the dog several hours later, and was cited for animal neglect. Report taken.
