Annual Military Equipment Report for 2023
Public Input and Board Approval Regarding AB 481
On June 13, 2023, the VCCCD Board of Trustees unanimously approved Resolution No. 2023-07, adopting the Police Department's Military Equipment Policy and inventory. The Board of Trustees renewed the resolution on March 12, 2024, after reviewing the Annual Military Equipment Report for 2023. Within thirty (30) days of submitting and publicly releasing an annual military equipment report, the VCCCD Police Department is required to hold a well-publicized and conveniently located community engagement meeting, at which the general public may discuss and ask questions regarding the annual military equipment report and the Police Department's funding, acquisition, and/or use of the equipment. The next community engagement meeting is tentatively scheduled to be held in April 2024 in the Dr. Thomas G. Lakin Boardroom located at the District Administrative Center, 761 Daily Drive, Camarillo, CA, 93010.
