We as a community have the power to create change. When we use our voices, we are heard.

All of us best serve our community by registering to vote and participating in the local, state, and federal elections. When a community turns out to vote, it does a few things:

  1. Increases the diversity of voices impacting governance
  2. Reflects the diversity of the community in the representatives elected
  3. Guides the local leaders, such as judges or the Board of Supervisors, to act in their community's values
  4. Increases the power of the voters in the area as there is strength in numbers

Free and fair elections are the bedrock of democracy, and for a healthy democratic society to thrive, the citizens must vote.
