Students with learning disabilities will be able to take this course while currently enrolled in any basic math course at Oxnard College to use computers to aid with their retention and learning of mathematics. This course is relevant to a diverse population, and accessible to all students. Students have the opportunity to work one on one, and with other students to more fully understand their classroom learning and assignments. Recommended Prep: Concurrent enrollment in LS R016A or LS R016B.

This course provides instruction in assisting and instrumentation for the following specialties in dentistry: orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, removable prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry and oral maxillofacial surgery, and assisting in the administration of nitrous oxide. Field trips may be required. Corequisites: DA R010 and R011 and DA R012 and DA R013 and and DA R014. Recommended Prep: High School Diploma or GED and ENGL R101 or ENGL R101H.

In this course, students receive instruction in academic reading and writing, including writing processes, effective use of language, analytical thinking, and the foundations of academic research. Credit will not be awarded for both the honors and regular versions of a course. Credit will be awarded only for the first course completed with a grade of C or “P” or better. Field trips may be required. Prerequisites: Placement as determined by the college’s multiple measures assessment process. Transfer credit: CSU; UC. Notes: Prior to Common Course Numbering, this course was known as ENGL R101.

This course is an introduction to the science of life, cell biology, metabolism, diet, genetics, evolution and ecology and will include current issues and news on these topics. Credit will not be awarded for both the regular and honors versions of a course. Credit will be awarded only for the first course completed with a grade of C or better or "P." Field trips may be required. Recommended Prep: BIOL R101L or concurrent enrollment; eligibility for ENGL C1000; course taught at the level of intermediate algebra or placement as determined by the college's multiple measures assessment process.
