Course Description
This course provides individualized study of the appropriate techniques and repertoire for keyboard instruments through private instruction. It emphasizes the progressive development of skills needed for solo performance. The general course content includes aspects of rhythm, articulation, and expressive elements as they relate to the instrument. Corequisites: MUS R101, or MUS R120A and MUS R125A, or MUS R120B and MUS R125B, or MUS R120C and MUS R125C, and MUS R106, or MUS R126, or MUS R185. Transfer credit: CSU. Notes: To be eligible for Applied music, students must be concurrently enrolled in the following: a Music Theory course (or Music Fundamentals) and the accompanying lab course, AND an Ensemble course such as Choir, Chamber Music, or Mariachi.

Course Description
This course is specifically designed for Educational Assistance (EAC) students who have a diagnosis that hinders their ability to grasp and apply mathematical concepts. The course will cover basic math operations including whole numbers, order of operations, fractions, decimals, and word problems. This course will also include test taking, mnemonic and memory strategies for learning and recalling mathematical operations. Various learning strategies will be utilized to help students to break down the barriers to learning mathematics that have slowed their progress. Recommended Prep: ACT R016. Examines personal and social determinants of health through the examination of the role individuals play in their own health and well being, along with the impact of environmental, social, structural, and cultural factors that play a role both in individual and community and public health. Explores health disparities and inequities in sexually diverse, gender, racial, and minority populations. Examines culturally competent ideas to bridge the health equity gap and improve population health will be developed.
