Victim called Campus Police to advise unknown person(s) had used her name, DOB and social security number to register for classes at Ventura and Oxnard Colleges. She found out when she received notification from the IRS that her tax return was garnished. Investigation continues; report V15-093 taken.
6/2/15 - 1:30pm: Theft of bicycle from El Camino High School at VC. Victim came to Campus Police to report unknown person(s) removed her bicycle and helmet without permission from the locked rack at El Camino. No witnesses or suspects; report V15-094 taken.
6/3/15 - Disturbed student at MC Counseling office and Campus Police Station. Officers tried to speak to subject about a citation he was complaining of, but subject became agitated and left. Report M15-052 taken.
6/4/15 - 1:00pm: Graffiti at OC. Unknown person(s) marked the Oxnard College sign with black paint. No witnesses or suspects; report X15-048 taken.
6/7/15 - 12:55am: Drunk driver arrested near OC. Officer was on patrol when he observed vehicle making late stops and straddling the bicycle lane. Upon results of interview and field investigation, officer determined driver was under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested and transported to County Main Jail, where he was booked without further incident. Report X15-047 taken.
6/8/15 - 6:15pm: Hit & run (misdemeanor) in Community Building staff lot at MC. Employee went to Campus Police to report when she returned to her vehicle, she found damage to it. Investigation continues. Report M15-053 taken.
6/11/15 - 11:00 am: Graffiti found at OC. Employee came to Campus Police to report fresh graffiti on base of new marquee. No suspects or witnesses; report X15-049 taken.
6/11/15 - 12:30pm: Suicide near E lot at MC. Employee found male subject dead, apparently by his own hand, and notified Campus Police. Sheriff's Department was contacted to perform investigation, per mutual aid agreements. Report M15-054 taken.
6/15/15: 6:00am: Vandalism at MC. Unknown suspect(s) removed printer from IT disposal area and threw it off the bridge that connects the LMC and PS bldgs. No suspects or witnesses; report M15-055 taken.
6/15/15 - 9:00am: Late report of theft of equipment from warehouse at OC. Officer stored bicycles in M&O warehouse in September. He went on this day to retrieve two that are scheduled to go to MC, when he noticed that one bike was missing the entire rear bag and bike rack. No witnesses or suspects; report X15-052 taken.
6/15/15 - 10:00am: Subject under the influence of controlled substance at VC. Officers were patrolling area known for drug use and arrests, when they contacted a suspicious subject. Subject admitted to having smoked heroin; officers cited and released subject after performing drug tests. Report V15-095 taken.
6/16/15: 11:00am: Graffiti at OC near classroom LA-7. Officer was advised by employee of graffiti near classroom LA-7. No suspects or witnesses; report X15-051 taken.
6/15/15 - 6:30pm: Drug paraphernalia at VC. Officer conducted a traffic stop; upon investigation, he found a syringe under the passenger side seat.
6/18/15 - 11:00am: Petty theft at OC. Victim came to Campus Police to report he had left his wallet in the men's room in the LS south wing, and when he returned for it, it was gone. No suspects or witnesses; report X15-053 taken.
6/18/15 - 12:00pm: Attempted theft of gasoline at MC Maintenance Yard. Unknown suspect was observed on camera attempting to remove nozzle from locked gas pump, then drove off. No witnesses; report M15-056 taken.
6/21/15 - 10:45am: Counterfeit bill at VC Marketplace. Vendor advised he was given a counterfeit $20 bill. Son accepted bill in payment for purchases. Suspect later returned and tried to pass another counterfeit bill, but it was rejected by vendor. Officer notified Secret Service; report V15-098 taken.
6/21/15 - 1:00pm: Hit & run (misdemeanor) at OC. While on patrol, cadet observed driver in vehicle make a right turn and collide with a parked vehicle, then drive off to park elsewhere. Upon his return, driver was cited and released for hit & run. Report X15-054 taken.
6/22/15 - 7:20pm: Battery at MC in classroom. Female subject was being disruptive and was asked to be quiet by classmates. Subject became irate and upon leaving class, forcefully bumped classmates with her chest and shoulder. Report M15-58 taken.
6/23/15 - 5:50pm: Late report of identity theft at VC. Victim called Campus Police to advise unknown person(s) had opened a financial aid account in her name and obtained funds fraudulently. Investigation continues; report V15-099 taken.
6/24/15 - 3:00pm: Possession of controlled substance at MC. While conducting traffic stop on vehicle that had been speeding, officer noticed aroma of burnt marijuana emanating from vehicle. During investigation, officer confiscated paraphernalia and marijuana, and cited 3 occupants for possession of marijuana; report M15-059 taken.
6/25/15 - 1:30pm: Under the influence of controlled substance at VC. During patrol, officers noticed suspicious subject walking along campus. During interview, it was apparent that subject was under the influence of some type of drug; subject admitted to smoking methamphetamine. After tests confirmed suspect had meth in his system, officers arrested and transported subject to County Main Jail, where he was booked without further incident. Report V15-101 taken.
6/27/15 - 12:15pm: Possession of controlled substance at VC. During an interview and consensual search of suspect in possible theft at VC Marketplace, officer discovered drug paraphernalia in suspect's possession. Suspect was cited and released; report V15-102 taken.
6/29/15 - 11:15am: Graffiti near stairs in the A lot at MC. Staff member advised police officer that fresh graffiti had been spotted near an air vent close to the stairs in the A parking lot. No suspects or witnesses; report M15-060 taken.
