1/2/14 - 11:45 am: Hate-motivated crime at VC. Victim came to Campus Police to report that a person with whom he was acquainted with had yelled a racial epithet at him and then thrown a rock at him, striking victim in the face. Investigation continues. Report taken.

1/5/14 - 5:00 pm: Identity theft at MC. Victim reported to Campus Police that unknown person(s) had stolen his social security number. Investigation continues. Report taken.

1/6/14: 10:45 am: Theft of a bicycle from OC. Victim reported to Campus Police that unknown person(s) took his bicycle from the rack on the west side of the LA bldg. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.

1/6/14:  11:00 am: Theft of a bicycle at OC. Victim reported to Campus Police that unknown person(s) took his bicycle from the rack where he had secured it with two locks. No witnesses or suspects. Investigation continues; report taken.

1/7/14 - 4:00 pm: Possession of a controlled substance at OC. Officers responded to report of suspicious person behaving erratically at the Stem Center. While he was there, witnesses saw a small plastic baggie with a white powdery substance inside, fall from the waistband of his pants. Officers tested the substance, which resulted positive for controlled substance. Suspect was subsequently arrested and taken to County Main Jail, where he was booked without further incident. Report taken.

1/8/14 - 9:00 am:  Graffiti at OC. Officer responded to report of letters written on light fixture between C lot and North Hall classrooms. No witnesses or suspects; report taken.

1/8/14 - 1:00 pm: Graffiti in women's room at VC LRC. Employee reported to Campus Police that unknown person had called to report incident happening in the women's restroom of the LRC. Officers responded and found the words "THIS WAY TO THE MINISTRY OF MAGIC" and "BAD WOLF" written in one of the stalls, with permanent marker. M&O was contacted to remove the graffiti; no witnesses or suspects. Report taken.

1/8/14 - 3:30 pm: Harassment at VC. Victim reported to Campus Police that she had submitted a report to Oxnard Police related to harassing and threatening phone calls; she was approached on campus by an unknown person who asked if she knew the person who had been harassing her. Report taken.

1/9/14 - 11:30 pm: Suspicious behavior at VC. Officer was patrolling campus when he observed subject walking along and looking into parked vehicles. Upon contact, suspect was belligerent and obviously under the influence of alcohol. Suspect was escorted off campus and told not to return. Report taken.

1/14/14 - 11:00 am: Subject with felony warrant at OC. Officers were in patrol vehicle when they noticed subject driving erratically and speeding. Officers activated lights and siren and subject stopped. During interview, officers determined subject had a warrant for his arrest; they subsequently arrested and transported subject to County Main Jail, where he was booked without further incident. Report taken.

1/14/14 - 10:30 pm: Trespassing at OC. Officer was patrolling the campus when he noticed subject in the old library sitting at a desk and using a laptop. As it was after hours, officer inquired why subject was in the building. Subject confirmed he was homeless and was looking for a place to stay. Subject was taken out of library, transported to the Oxnard College Police Department, and cited and released for trespassing. He was also warned not to return to the campus unless he enrolled in classes. Report taken.

1/16/14 - 10:40 am: Vandalism at MC. Employee reported that unknown person(s) caused damage to men's room sink and partition. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.

 1/16/14 - 8:30 pm: Theft of key from key ring at MC. Victim reported to Campus Police that her keys had been lost in a parking lot, but turned in to the Lost & Found; when victim retrieved them, her car key was gone. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.

1/22/14 - 11:25 am: Arrest of subject with warrant at VC. Officers received information from the Ventura County Sheriff's Department that a wanted subject was attending Ventura College. Subject was contacted and placed under arrest without incident, and was turned over to investigators from a federal agency. Report taken.

1/22/14 - 7:45 pm: Suspicious subject at VC. Officers responded to call of suspicious subject at a neighboring business. Officers found subject sitting on the roof of the strip mall. He was ordered to climb down and during investigation, found to have controlled substances on his person, as well as drug paraphernalia. Subject was subsequently arrested and transported to County Main Jail, where he was booked without further incident. Report taken.
