Course Description
This course introduces students to fundamental concepts of procedural programming. Topics include data types, control structures, functions, arrays, files, and the mechanics of running, testing, and debugging. The course emphasizes good software engineering principles and developing fundamental programming skills using a high level language utilizing programming and practical hands-on problem solving techniques. This course is the first course in programming that is compliant with the standards of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). Field trips may be required. Recommended Prep: CS V09. This course looks at the history of electronic dance music from its roots in the early electronic pioneers such as Stockhausen, Edgard Varese, and the BBC Radiophonic workshop, to Wendy Carlos, Vangelis, Suzanne Ciani, Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder, Depeche Mode, the Belleville 3, Frankie Knuckles, and the birth of modern dance music. Course Description
This course provides an examination of how managers use accounting information in decision-making, planning, directing operations, and controlling. The structure of corporate accounting for stockholders' equity and bond transactions are explained. It will also focus on cost terms and concepts, cost behavior, cost structure, and cost-volume-profit analysis. The course includes an examination of profit planning, standard costs, operations and capital budgeting, cost control, and accounting for costs in manufacturing organizations.
