Join your CCVC colleagues in taking your leadership competencies to the next level

Applications for the 2026-2027 cohort will open soon!

In this 7-month cohort-style leadership development program, you’ll examine and cultivate your leadership competencies alongside colleagues from across the District with diverse roles and experiences. You’ll work independently and collaboratively with colleagues to explore the leadership mindsets, qualities, behaviors, and skills needed in today’s higher education environment that motivate and inspire people and advance thought leadership and community collaboration in our District.

Beyond the once-a-month in-person program sessions (listed below), you’ll engage in an array of assignments and activities which will give you both knowledge and tangible experiences to move your leadership—and leadership in our organization—to new heights. This may include virtual sessions, peer partner calls, and various assignments such as assessments, coaching calls, reading, job shadow visits, and a Professional Development Plan and Post-Program Plan.

Session Dates:
  • Session 1 – October 15-16, 2026
  • Session 2 – November 13, 2026
  • Session 3 – December 11, 2026
  • Session 4 – February 5, 2027
  • Session 5 – March 5, 2027

"The Leadership Collaborative has been a welcome and highly valuable experience in bringing together folks across different disciplines that have a shared goal of learning about themselves and growing together in leadership and servingness. My experience has been eye opening, introspective and educational to say the least. I'm looking forward to further implementing what I have learned to my professional and personal relationships with growing confidence."

-Yesenia Ruvalcaba, Oxnard College EOPS/CARE Technician
