This award honors community college classified employees demonstrating the highest level of commitment to the Vision 2030 and equitable student outcomes, professional ethics and standards, serving the institution through professional and/or community activities, and serving as a leader beyond the local institution. Classified employees with a minimum 5 years of service are eligible.

Each site in the District nominates one individual to represent their site as Classified Employee of the Year. From those four candidates, one person is selected as the District's Classified Employee of the Year and submitted to the State Chancellor's Office for consideration as the 2027 California Community Colleges Classified Employee of the Year.

The District’s Classified Employee of the Year will be announced at the March 2027 Board of Trustees meeting.
