Course Description
Develops critical thinking and writing skills in close textual analysis of issues and themes in fiction, poetry, and drama as well as in non-fictional literature and literary criticism. Reviews deductive and inductive reasoning, recognition and avoidance of logical fallacies, and relationships between language and meaning while emphasizing detailed critical analysis. Course Credit Limitations: Credit will not be awarded for both honors and regular versions of a course. Credit will be awarded only for the first course completed with a grade of “C” or better or "P". Moorpark College Honors Program requires a letter grade. Field trips may be required. Prerequisites: ENGL C1000 or C1000H. Transfer credit: CSU; UC.

Course Description
This course consists of comparative normal anatomy and physiology of selected domestic animal species. It analyzes the body structures and systems, comparing domestic animals commonly found in veterinary medicine. The physiology section of the course will emphasize functions of internal organs and body systems. The relevant application of structure and function to clinical medical situations is addressed. Appropriate veterinary medical terminology is included with each system. Field trips may be required. Prerequisites: CHEM V101 (formerly CHEM V20-V20L) or 1 year high school chemistry with grade of "C" or better. Recommended Prep: BIOL V01-V01L and CHEM V120A (Formerly CHEM V01A-V01AL). Transfer credit: CSU; UC.
