Melissa is a former student of Moorpark College. She graduated in 2010 with her three Performing Arts Degrees in Technical Theatre, Directing, & Acting. In addition to working at the college she also works in Thousand Oaks at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center as a theatre technician. She enjoys all things theatre and performance alike. Melissa enjoys camping, softball, cross stitching, and painting.

At Moorpark College, I teach primarily Introductory Chemistry, Organic Chemistry I & II, and occasionally General Chemistry I. 

Teaching Philosophy

Learning chemistry is like taking a wonderful journey; and every semester I get to be the guide. I am excited for our trip to begin and I hope some of my enthusiasm will rub off on you!
 

C. Steven Joiner earned his PhD in chemistry from UCLA in 2007 under the supervision of Nobel Laureate Sir Fraser Stoddart.  His research was focused on the template-directed organic synthesis of molecules containing mechanical bonds.  He has been a professor of chemistry at Moorpark College since 2007 where he has taught introductory, general, and organic chemistry to more than 1000 undergraduate students.  He has a wife and three children.
