I'm a southern Californian who loves the mountains and the desert. From Bishop to Furnace Creek, I think the northern Mojave, the Sierra, the White Mountains, and Payahuunadü are amazing.

Next VCAS Meeting will be February 24th (Friday) at Moorpark College Forum at 7:30 PM. Dr. Brian Moncelli from NASA/JPL will discuss the recent Mars2020 Rover Perseverance and Sherloc and Watson instruments. SHERLOC is a laser-based deep-ultraviolet Raman and luminesce spectrometer that performs non-contact measurements of the Martian geology. These instruments will investigate past micro-bionic life in Martian geology. This will be an exciting and fact filled slide show/lecture!
