Join Dr. Brian Moncelli from NASA/JPL

Next VCAS Meeting will be February 24th (Friday) at Moorpark College Forum at 7:30 PM. Dr. Brian Moncelli from NASA/JPL will discuss the recent Mars2020 Rover Perseverance and Sherloc and Watson instruments. SHERLOC is a laser-based deep-ultraviolet Raman and luminesce spectrometer that performs non-contact measurements of the Martian geology. These instruments will investigate past micro-bionic life in Martian geology. This will be an exciting and fact filled slide show/lecture!

 

Last meeting was standing room only. Please arrive early to make sure you find a seat.

Rachel Casas is a full-time psychology professor at Moorpark College. She is also a licensed clinical psychologist, with specialty training in neuropsychology. She currently teaches  Introduction to Psychology and Developmental Psychology (Lifespan) at MC.

MC and the Ventura County Astronomical Society Present A STAR GAZERS EVENT: COMET OBSERVING: THEN and NOW! Charles S. Morris of the Dreamweaver Observatory will share images of spectacular comets, as well as share what to watch for in the skies this year!
