This course is specifically designed for Educational Assistance (EAC) students who have a diagnosis that hinders their ability to grasp and apply mathematical concepts. The course will cover basic math operations including whole numbers, order of operations, fractions, decimals, and word problems. This course will also include test taking, mnemonic and memory strategies for learning and recalling mathematical operations. Various learning strategies will be utilized to help students to break down the barriers to learning mathematics that have slowed their progress. Recommended Prep: ACT R016. This course is an introduction to government and politics in the United States and California. Students examine the constitutions, structure, and operation of governing institutions, civil liberties and civil rights, political behaviors, political issues, and public policy using political science theory and methodology.
