The Mathematics Department offers basic skills and transfer level courses in Mathematics. A number of Department courses apply toward the Mathematics competency for graduation. Mathematics courses are fundamental preparation for a wide range of majors, including business, computer science, physical and life sciences, and social and behavioral sciences among others.

Students who successfully complete Mathematics courses will be able to solve mathematical problems, demonstrate mathematical reasoning skills, analyze theoretical concepts, and transition between the abstract and the concrete in mathematical analysis.
