Film, Television & Media Arts (FTMA) offers an outstanding array of courses for students seeking to fulfill general education requirements, skills development, practical and vocational education, and/or cultural enrichment.  Our classes introduce students to the history, theory, criticism, industrial practices, and hands-on of cinema, television and radio productions.

The Film,Television, and Electronic Media program at Oxnard College offers courses to develop skills in all aspects of digital film and video production -- whether you plan to earn an AA degree, transfer to a four-year program or want to get into a career right away. The program includes courses in screenwriting, video production, digital editing, and history of cinema. It also covers directing, lighting and audio production. You get hands-on experience creating and editing digital video, and the chance to work on live television productions.
This evolving program offers training in Film and Electronic Media, providing student with the tools needed for careers in film production, editing, audio, media writing, and motion graphics. An Associates in Science for Transfer Degree in Film is currently being developed for students to work towards a four year degree.
