Rob Davidson has lived and worked in Ventura County for nearly 40 years. He began his career with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office in 1991, where he served with distinction across every division and at every rank. Rob spent nine years as a detective investigating sex crimes, robberies, and assaults, and concluded his investigative tenure with four years as a homicide detective.

In addition to fieldwork, Rob served as an Internal Affairs investigator, reinforcing the importance of transparency and ethical accountability in law enforcement. As a Captain, he oversaw administrative operations for the Detention Services Division, the Sheriff’s largest division, managing an annual budget of $120 million. Later, as a Commander, he led Internal Affairs, the Crime Lab, and the Sheriff’s Academy. In his final role with the department, Rob served as Assistant Sheriff, providing executive oversight of the entire Detention Services Division.

Rob currently works as a private investigator, conducting internal affairs investigations for local government agencies throughout Southern California.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership with a concentration in Public Policy from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University, Stanislaus. He is also a graduate of the POST Command College and holds a POST Management Certificate.

Rob lives in Camarillo with his wife, Terri. They have three adult children, a grandchild, and their amazing dog, Mojo. In their free time, they enjoy traveling to visit their children and walking at the beach with their grandbaby and Mojo.

Christopher Kiyoshi Jetton most recently served with the California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI) Police Department, completing over 15 years of distinguished law enforcement service in multiple leadership capacities, including Administrative Lieutenant, Operations Lieutenant, and Director of Transportation and Parking Services. In these roles, Christopher managed essential areas such as Investigations, Training, Communications, Community Engagement, and the department’s hiring and background processes. He provided strategic leadership by overseeing specialized units dedicated to Sexual Assault Investigations, Threat Management, and emergency preparedness initiatives. He also represented the police department on CSUCI’s Behavioral Intervention and CARE Teams, actively participating in proactive community safety and threat mitigation.

A proud product of the Ventura County Community College District, Christopher completed his general education at Ventura College before transferring to CSU Channel Islands and also earned his certification as a state-certified EMT through the Oxnard College Emergency Medical Technician Program. Christopher holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from CSU Channel Islands and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration at the same institution. He is a graduate of prestigious professional programs, including the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute and the California POST Command College. Christopher is deeply committed to fostering secure, equitable, and inclusive environments within educational communities.

Jerry Hernandez has over 29 years of law enforcement experience with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, 13 years of which were in management and leadership positions. He is a lifelong resident of Ventura County. Jerry was born in Ventura and raised in Santa Paula. He attended Ventura College after graduating from high school. He then graduated from the Ventura County Criminal Justice Training Center, the very same facility where he later became the Academy Director. 

During his law enforcement career, Jerry was assigned to virtually every part of Ventura County. He held multiple ranks including deputy, senior deputy and sergeant. He was assigned to every patrol division in the Sheriff’s Office and to every jail facility.  As a Captain Jerry served as the Sheriff’s Adjutant, Facility Manager of the Pre-Trial Detention Facility and Todd Road Jail, East County Patrol Manager, Patrol Watch Commander and Academy Director. Each of these assignments was unique and dynamic, requiring strong leadership and accurate decision-making abilities. As the Sheriff’s Adjutant, Jerry worked alongside the Sheriff daily and gained valuable experience at the highest executive level of management. In this assignment he coordinated the annual Sheriff’s Budget Presentation to the Ventura County Board of Supervisors. He also assisted the Sheriff in collaborating with Ventura County Community College District in the planning and building of a new Fire, Sheriff and Police Education Training Academy. 

Jerry has experience in a variety of other administrative and investigative assignments including Internal Affairs Investigator where he handled critical incidents including officer involved shootings. As the Public Information Officer, he communicated crucial information to the public during disasters and major incidents. Jerry is proud of his successful career in law enforcement and his many accomplishments. He is especially proud to say he earned a Master of Science Degree in Emergency Services Administration from California State University, Long Beach. He is also appreciative of his experience as a student at Ventura College where he was first inspired to continue his education and to pursue a career in law enforcement.

Jerry has never forgotten his upbringing in a predominately Hispanic community of Santa Paula, where his father is from, or spending time with relatives in La Colonia area of Oxnard where his mother is from. He is proud of his cultural heritage and throughout his career he strived to set a positive example and break negative stereotypes. His strong cultural background supported his efforts to improve relations between law enforcement and underserved communities.

Jerry lives in Ventura with his wife, Debbie, and daughter, Sofia. They enjoy traveling, hiking, watching NFL football, cheering for the Dodgers, cooking and baking as a family.
