Districtwide Title IX Advisory Committee (DTIXAC)

DTIXAC facilitates Districtwide collaboration to support college and District efforts to comply with Title IX, Unlawful Discrimination, Harassment (including Sexual Harassment), and Retaliation prevention and prohibition laws and guidelines set forth by the state and the federal Department of Education. 

DTIXAC focuses on increasing student and employee awareness and understanding of Title IX, Unlawful Discrimination, Harassment (including Sexual Harassment), and Retaliation matters. This includes identifying and implementing mandated and other trainings to support the prohibition and prevention of misconduct related to Title IX, Unlawful Discrimination, Harassment (including Sexual Harassment), and Retaliation within our campus communities to facilitate overall student success. DTIXAC works towards common goals and procedures in:

• Case management, investigations, and adjudication related to Title IX, Unlawful Discrimination, Harassment (including Sexual Harassment), and Retaliation; and
• Implementation of trainings, employee professional development (in coordination with DAC Human Resources), and student programs geared toward prevention measures regarding misconduct related to Title IX, Unlawful Discrimination, Harassment (including Sexual Harassment), and Retaliation based on sex/gender/sexual orientation, sexual harassment, and sexual violence.

Co-Chairs:      

• Associate Vice Chancellor of Human Resources and Compliance
• Committee Member (rotated annually among the three colleges, appointed by District Co-Chair)

Members from Each College (three to six members), including:

• Deputy Title IX / Intake Coordinators (required from each college)
• Health Center Coordinators (at least one is necessary)
• VCCCD Police Department representative (at least one is necessary)
