Covers the fundamental concepts and principles of navigating ProTools. Discusses how to build sessions using live audio, Musical Instrument Digital Interfaces (MIDI), and virtual instruments. Develops skills in editing session media, audio processing, and mixing techniques that will allow them to create a basic project from setup to mixdown. Transfer credit: CSU. Notes: ProTools software will be provided by the college; enrollment in MUS M80 internship course while taking this class in order to practice studio applications of ProTools is highly recommended; completion of MUS M40A and MUS M40B can prepare the student for the Avid Certified User credential.
