***New Public Works Contractor Registration Law (SB 854)***

Beginning April 1, 2015, the Ventura County Community College District may only award public works projects to contractors and subcontractors that comply with the new Public Works Contractor Registration Law (SB 854). Contractors doing public works must register and meet requirements using the online application before bidding on public works contracts in California. The application also provides agencies that administer public works programs with a searchable database of qualified contractors.
 

Bid Announcements

If you are interested in bidding on projects, click on Bids and Agreements on the left side of this page.  You will find instructions for bidders, and then click on the status of the bid or Current tab also on the left.  This will lead you to a list of current bid announcements with the actual bid documents and plans attached.  The Ventura County Community College District also advertises bid opportunities in the Ventura County Star.  You may also register to be placed on the bid list by completing the Bidder Registration Form found by clicking on Doing Business with VCCCD on the left side of this page.

The Purchasing Department, under the Director of General Services, handles all procurement activities for the Ventura County Community College District. The District competitively purchases a wide variety of materials, supplies, equipment, services and minor work projects through a centralized purchasing system. Capital work projects are bid and managed through the Capital Planning, Design & Construction Dept. Purchase orders for all capital work projects are issued through the Purchasing Department.

We subscribe to the Codes of Ethics as promulgated by the California Association of Public Purchasing Officers (CAPPO). We expect our bidders and vendors to be ethical in the pursuit of business with the VCCCD.

The VCCCD is subject to California law regarding conflict of interest including the receipt of gifts or entertainment. Vendors are requested to cooperate in this regard.
