US History: Women since 1877

This course surveys the history of the United States from the Reconstruction era to the present. Emphasis will be placed on the history of the country with a focus on the participation and contributions made by women to the social, political, and economic development of American society. Attention will be paid to the development of the feminist movement and the role of women in contemporary America. Field trips may be required. Transfer credit: CSU; UC. Formerly: HIST V02B.
