Adeline De Haan
Dr. Adriana De Haan grew up in The Netherlands. She came to the United States in 1994. She has been teaching at Ventura College since Fall 2002. She likes to travel in the US and abroad to visit new places as well as family. All is best in the company of her husband, son (middle school), and daughter (college). Hobbies are: reading, a variety of puzzles, and international folkdance. Before working at VC she worked in a lab of a company to support instrument sales. What brought her to California was a postdoc position at the University of California in Santa Barbara.
The best way to reach your instructor is by email. She does have office hours, but they are different every semester, both in time and location. The best way to reach Dr. De Haan is by email: adehaan@vcccd.edu

I have been teaching chemistry at Ventura College for the last 16 years. Before this, I taught at Allan Hancock College (Santa Maria, CA) for five years and before that I taught at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo for two years. Yes, that means I am old--as my kids like to point out.
Before all of this teaching, I got a MS in Chemistry at UC-Irvine focused on environmental chemistry, and before that I got a BS in Chemistry from Georgia Tech.
On the personal side, I grew up in Augusta, Georgia (mostly). I have two daughters who are 8 and 11 years old. I like to spend most of my free time hiking, biking and traveling.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about my classes or the chemistry program at Ventura College
