Sexual Misconduct / Title IX Information

Office of Title IX (Sexual Misconduct)

Members of our college community, including employees, students, guests, and visitors have the right to be free from sexual misconduct and any form of sexual harassment and gender-based discrimination and violence.

This includes, but is not limited to:

VCCCD Policies and Procedures
All forms of sexual harassment are contrary to basic standards of conduct between individuals. Our District, and our three colleges, are committed to providing an academic and work environment that respects the dignity of all individuals and groups. The VCCCD Board Policies, Administrative Procedures, and all associated protocols are designed to foster an environment in which all employees, students, applicants for employment, and applicants for admission feel free to report any sexual misconduct, including discrimination based on sex, sexual harassment, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking.

Title IX Training for Students
It is important for all students to recognize any sexual misconduct violations. But it is equally important for you to understand Title IX and California State laws that govern how we address allegations. We offer online training for all students through your MyVCCCD Portal. Simply use the search tool to find "Title IX Training" once you have logged into your MyVCCCD account.

If you have not yet received a Certificate of Completion for this training, please complete it at your earliest convenience!

Title IX Training for Employees
All VCCCD staff and faculty participate in ongoing professional development throughout the year, including training on Title IX, mandatory reporting, and related subjects through Keenan Safe Colleges and other professional organizations. In addition, Title IX personnel undergo additional, in-depth training, ensuring that they remain current in understanding all federal Title IX regulations and California state laws relating to sexual misconduct.
