New York Times bestselling author and serial entrepreneur Ryan Blair will deliver welcome remarks to new students at Moorpark College (7075 Campus Road, Moorpark, CA), Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, 3-7 p.m., Quad area. Author of “Rock Bottom to Rock Star: Lessons From the Business School of Hard Knocks” and “Nothing to Lose, Everything to Gain: How I Went from Gang Member to Multimillionaire Entrepreneur,” Blair will share stories of inspiration with hopeful students beginning their journey through higher education at Moorpark College – many the first in their families to attend college. The welcome address will begin at 3 p.m. with breakout sessions to follow at 4:15 p.m. and a campus resource fair at 6 p.m.

"His story of overcoming adversity to become a successful business man, author and sought-after speaker resonates with the message that we want to share with our diverse student population," Sanchez added.
