Were you a student at one of the district’s colleges and if so which one? What was your major and your degree?

I was not a student at one of the district’s colleges; I graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a bachelor’s degree in education.

Are you from the area and if not, where are you from?

I grew up mostly in Las Vegas, Nevada. I served for four years in the U.S. Army, from 1990 – 1994, and attended UNLV from 1995 – 1999. I began working for VCCCD in 2000 at Oxnard College as a Financial Aid Technology Specialist.
