About

I have held almost every position in the field of Early Childhood and have worn every hat! I have been in the field of early childhood education for over fifteen years, I started my career right out of high school as an after school and summer camp counselor, those were such fun days! I wasn't sure what I wanted for a career yet, but I found myself loving my job, so I took a child development class at my local community college and I was hooked!

Soon after, I jumped right into the preschool classroom as a lead teacher. During that time, I took just about every child development class they offered before transferring to California State University Northridge where I earned my bachelor's degree in child and adolescent development. I taught in the preschool classroom for ten years and I loved it!

I then took on the role as the assistant director of a large preschool and after school program where I held that position for 5 years. During that time, I earned my master's degree in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in early childhood, I then moved into a director position at a laboratory school.

I currently teach at online for Ventura college as well as for another college and it is my favorite job ever! Teaching is my passion and I love supporting students!

My husband and I have 3 children ages 11, 8 and 4, my husband also worked in the field of early childhood education and is currently the very best stay at home daddy!

I am truly passionate about teaching and learning and consider myself a lifelong learner!
