About
Hello, students! I just wanted to introduce myself as your professor. I've been at Moorpark since 2002; I love the campus and am eager to help those just starting college as well as those who have been here awhile already. While I teach English full-time, you'll also see me on the Reference Desk at the Library a few hours a week, and I've also taught College Strategies for the Freshman Experience Program. My research and teaching interests include children's and young adult literature, Latinx literature, and more! I co-coordinate the One Campus, One Book program here on campus. I'm also involved with the Distance Education Committee. I grew up in Thousand Oaks and have my degrees from Cal Lutheran, CSUN, and UCLA. Now I live in Porter Ranch with my husband and my daughter, who was born in 2014. We have a rabbit named Max as our pet. I enjoy walking, Pilates, and watching other people cook on TV.
