When Ms. Meadows isn't teaching at Ventura and Oxnard Colleges and being a mom to her young son, she's a registered dietitian at the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging.  Previously, she worked at the Environmental Working Group (EWG), a research and advocacy organization based in Washington, DC for ten years. Her work at EWG was covered in the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, ABC, TIME, NPR, HuffPo, The Doctors and various local news outlets.

Ms. Meadows worked at a community health center in Boston, where she served as an Albert Schweitzer fellow, interned at the US Department of Agriculture’s Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion during the formulation of the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, and helped conduct both clinical and epidemiological cancer research studies in the San Francisco Bay Area.

She completed her Master’s in Nutrition Communication at Tufts University and her undergraduate degree in Nutritional Sciences and Toxicology from UC Berkeley.
