Course Description
Focuses on the foundational skills in algebra and trigonometry which are necessary for a student to successfully complete calculus. Includes basic algebraic concepts, equations of the first and second degree, inequalities, systems of equations, functions and graphs, linear and quadratic functions, polynomial functions of higher degree, rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions, and analytical trigonometry. Corequisites: MATH M25A. Transfer credit: CSU. Notes: STEM students who are enrolled in MATH M25A may enroll in this course; this course is required for students with a high school GPA of 2.6 or lower and/or STEM students enrolled in MATH M25A who have not successfully completed (C or better) high school trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, or MATH M24.
