Voting for the Student Trustee Special Election takes place April 20–21, 2026. Polls open at 8:00 a.m. on April 20 and close at 8:00 p.m. on April 21.
The Student Trustee serves as an important student voice on the Board of Trustees, representing the perspectives, priorities, and experiences of students across the District. In this role, the Student Trustee prepares for and attends Board meetings, engages in discussions on Districtwide issues, and contributes to decisions that impact students.
What you need to know:
- Explore the Candidates: Visit the Candidates webpage to learn more about those running and their platforms.
- Vote! Currently enrolled students may vote electronically by logging into the MyVCCCD Student Portal.
- Ballot Access: Students may cast one vote for the Districtwide Student Trustee position.
- Voting Deadline: Voting closes at 8:00 p.m. on April 21, 2026.
- Election Results: Election results will be announced April 22, 2026.
