Bring 3-D Printer Projects to Pop-up Makerspace

Tuesday, September 26, 2017 - 1:00pm

Bring 3D printer projects to the pop-up Makerspace in the Campus Center next week for a chance to get them created. The Makerspace’s Maker Bot Mini is available from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, September 26 through Thursday, September 28 in Room 114, formerly the site of the center’s game arcade.

Art Professor, Clare Sadnik, who is coordinating the campus Makerspace, will be at the pop-up to give students, faculty and staff access to the printer and other creative materials, including LEDs and batteries, construction materials, hot glue guns and more. First come, first served. Remember that jobs can take some time to execute, so come early for a chance to have yours completed.

The pop-up Makerspace is one element of the CCC Maker grant received by Moorpark College this year. The effort also includes paid student internships, a Makers Faire on campus and stronger connections between campus creators and the outlying manufacturing and business community.
