Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition LGTBQ Community Ally
Like many students at Oxnard College I am a first-generation college student who began their educational path at a California Community College. I have been working in Community College Student Health for over 20 years. After a career as a hospital nurse, a visiting nurse and a nurse practitioner I have for the job of my dreams at Oxnard College. I love providing care to my students as well as mentoring anyone interested in nursing or other healthcare professions.
A college education has literally opened up the world to me. It has given me the confidence to travel the word to places like Africa, India, South America, China and many more. My profile picture is me with a lemur on the island of Madagascar. There are so many advantages and opportunities that open to you as a result of getting a college education.
In addition to travel, I love to hike, bike and run. I enjoy anything that gets me outside.
