1/9/13 - Theft from vehicle in E-lot at VC. Victim came to Campus Police Station to report leaving her vehicle unlocked and personal property removed without her permission. Investigation continues; report taken.
1/13/13 - Theft of laptop computer from Marketplace at VC. Vendor reported to Campus Police that unknown suspect had been by their stall looking at laptop computers for a long time. Eventually, vendor noticed one of the computers was missing. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.
1/15/13 - 2:00 pm: Theft of bicycle from light pole near S/E corner of the CRC bldg at VC. Victim reported locking his bike to a light pole and going to class, and returning to find only the undamaged lock and cable. Investigation continues; report taken.
1/15/13 - 2:45 pm: Driving without a license at OC. While on patrol, officer observed individual driving a vehicle while wearing headphones. He conducted a traffic stop and in the course of running driver's information through Dispatch, determined that subject had a suspended license. Vehicle was parked legally and later released; subject was cited and released. Report taken.
1/16/13 - 2:40 pm: Disruptive individual in Financial Aid office at VC. Employee contacted Campus Police because of a student in the Financial Aid who became upset at finding out that he did not qualify for financial aid and started raising his voice. Subject referred to Dean of Student Discipline; report taken.
1/16/13 - 6:15 pm: Theft from vehicle in W-lot at VC. Victim came to Campus Police Station to report unknown person(s) removed catalytic converer from his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.
1/16/13 - 7:20 pm: Graffiti in unisex restroom of lounge area in MCW bldg at VC. Officer responded to report of graffiti in the unisex restroom. The officer observed unreadable letters written on the back door in black permanent marker. Report taken.
1/19/13 - 12:30 pm: Minor injury at VC Marketplace. High wind caused vendor's canopy to dislodge, toppling stacked cookware which struck victim in face, causing minor contusions. Report taken.
1/22/13 - 1:50 pm: Vandalism to vehicle parked in E-lot at VC. Victim came to Campus Police Station to report unknown individual(s) used unknown sharp object to scratch the rear passenger side of vehicle's trunk. No witnesses or suspects; report taken.
1/24/13 - 4:20 pm: Theft from vehicle in E-lot at VC. Victim came to Campus Police to report unknown suspect(s) removed catalytic converter from his vehicle while he was in class. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.
1/26/13 - 12:45 pm: Possession of knife on campus at VC Marketplace. Officer conducted a traffic stop on vehicle blaring loud music; while running driver's information through Dispatch, it was determined that subject was on probation while driving with a suspended license. Officers conducted a search and discovered driver had drug paraphernalia and a knife in his pockets. Officers confiscated knife and paraphernalia, and cited and released driver. Passengers were advised re their probation terms and released. Report taken.
1/25/13 - 4:00 pm: Theft of computer from classroom at OC. Employees reported to Campus Police that unknown person(s) removed computer tower from classroom. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.
1/27/13 - 2:15 pm: Theft from vendor at OC Swap Meet. Vendor reported to Campus Police that unknown person(s) took property from his stall and fled on bicycle. No witnesses or suspects; report taken.
1/28/13 - 1:00 pm: Hit & run (misdemeanor) at MC. Victim reported to Campus Police that unknown vehicle struck his vehicle and fled, causing moderate damage. No witnesses or suspects; report taken.
1/28/13 - 2:30 pm: Grand theft from Library at VC. Victim came to Campus Police to report unknown person(s) took his property without permission. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.
1/29/13 - 5:00 pm: Possession of marijuana on campus at VC. Cadet observed 2 females smoking what appeared to be marijuana from a smoking device near the MAC building. Officers made contact and during the interview, one suspect provided officer with false information regarding her identification. Officers cited and released suspect #1 for possession of marijuana on school grounds, providing false information to an officer, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Report taken.
