7/4/10 - 10:00 am:  Counterfeit bill passed at OC Swap Meet. Victim advised he was given a counterfeit bill in payment for merchandise; no suspects or witnesses. Bill was placed in evidence. Report taken. 

7/4/10 - 6:20 pm:  Possession of weapon on campus (misdemeanor.)  Officer had contacted subject for riding a skateboard on campus; during interview, he noticed subject had a knife clipped to the front pocket of his jeans. Upon inspection, blade was longer than 2.5". Subject was cited and released for having a weapon on school grounds. Knife was booked as evidence. Report taken.

7/8/10 - 4:15 pm: Bicycle stolen from in front of PA building at MC. Victim parked his bike in front of the PA building. He returned five minutes later and found the bike missing. No suspects or witnesses; officers searched the campus with negative results. Report taken.

7/12/10 - 8:40 am:  Medical at OC. Officer responded to report of subject bleeding from a head wound in OC Library. Officer interviewed subject, who stated he sustained the wound when he struck his head on an overpass earlier that morning. EMT responded and administered first aid; subject refused further treatment. Report taken. 

7/12/10 - 11:00 am:  Theft from vehicle in C-lot at MC. Unknown suspect(s) smashed victim's driver-side window to gain entry to vehicle and took victim's property from trunk. Victim reported fraudulent credit card activity in nearby vicinity; investigation continues. Report taken.

7/12/10 - 5:00 pm:  Driver in possession of alcohol on school grounds at OC. Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. Officer interviewed the subject and found that subject's driver's license had been suspended; while conducting an impound search, officer found an open beer can with beer still in it. Driver was cited and released for driving without a valid license and for possessing alcohol on school grounds.

7/14/10 - 7:45 pm:  Medical emergency in Fitness Center at VC. Officer responded to report of subject in VC Fitness Center complaining of chest and shoulder pain. Upon his arrival, he found subject being treated by EMT; the victim was subsequently transported to hospital for further evaluation. Report taken.

7/15/10 - 3:00 pm:  Hit & run (misdemeanor) in M-lot at MC. Victim reported to police that unknown vehicle struck her vehicle, colliding with the driver's side door, left rear door, and left rear fender. Vehicle fled, left no note. No witnesses or suspects; report taken. 

7/16/10 - Petty theft from class at VC. Officer responded to report that a student stole a book from a classroom. Investigation continues; report taken.

7/18/10 - 11:45 am:  Medical emergency in Market Place at VC. Officer responded to report of subject with pacemaker, who was dizzy and nauseous. EMT responded and took subject to hospital for further evaluation. Report taken.

7/18/10 - 1:00 pm:  Petty theft from VC Market Place. Officer responded to report of suspect that handed a pair of broken pruning shears to victim, demanded a replacement, and then grabbed 2 pairs of shears and fled. Subject was last seen leaving the campus with another person. Officer checked campus and surrounding areas with negative results; report taken.

7/19/10 - Disturbance at Bookstore at VC. Officer responded to report of a subject who had been causing a disturbance outside of the Bookstore. Officer made contact with subject, who became agitated. He told the officer that he was upset at not being able to get in to the bookstore; officer advised subject. Report taken.

7/19/10 - 5:00 pm:  Vandalism in Golf Lot at MC. Supervisor advised police unknown suspect(s) moved the golf cart without permission; in so doing, the rear hitch incurred considerable damage. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.

7/20/10 - 2:15 pm:  Hit & run (misdemeanor) in AA lot at MC. Victim reported unknown vehicle struck his vehicle, causing damage to the passenger side front fender, tire, and bumper. He did not find any notes left by the unknown vehicle's driver. No witnesses or suspects; report taken.

7/21/10 - 12:00 pm:  Vandalism (misdemeanor) at OC. Officer responded to report of suspect drawing on a traffic signal control box. Officer, in police vehicle, approached subject; subject walked faster and dropped a large marker onto the ground. Officer stopped suspect, who turned out to be a juvenile; he was cited for vandalism and released to his parent. Report taken.

7/22/10 - 12:00 pm:  Disturbance in class at VC. Officer responded to report of irate student. Subject identified, will be contacted. Report taken.

7/22/10 - 7:00 pm:  Theft from softball field at VC. Coach reported that unknown person(s) forced open locked gate to batting cage, and took 2 large buckets of softballs. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.

7/27/10 - 8:00 am:  Theft from track area at VC. Victim reported that an iPhone was stolen from her backpack while she was running on the track. No other items were taken. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.

7/29/10 - 7:10 pm: Injury during volleyball game at VC. Officer responded to report of player who fell and struck head against the floor during a game. Fire & ambulance responded & transported victim to hospital for further evaluation. Report taken.
