12/1/10 - 1:45 pm: Hit & run (misdemeanor) in D-lot at MC. Victim came to Campus Police Station to report unknown vehicle struck her vehicle, causing damage to driver side rear bumper and fender, and left without leaving a note or insurance information. Report taken.
12/1/10 - 6:45 am: Vandalism to vehicle parked in M-lot at MC. Unknown suspect(s) used unknown sharp object to puncture front driver and passenger side tires. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.
12/2/10 - 9:30 pm: Vandalism to vehicle parked in F-lot at MC. Victim came to campus police to report unknown suspect scratched left side doors with unknown sharp object. Report taken.
12/3/10 - 12:30 pm: Grand theft from library at OC. Victim came to Campus Police Station to report unknown suspect took her laptop computer while she was making copies. Witness provided suspect description to officer during interview; investigation continues. Report taken.
12/5/10 - 10:30 am: Petty theft from swap meet at OC. Suspect took 2 iPod touches from vendor at swap meet. Officer interviewed witness, who was able to provide a description; officer contacted suspect, who returned one of the iPods. Suspect was cited for misdemeanor petty theft.
12/6/10 - 10:40 am: Bicyclist struck by vehicle at Rose Avenue at OC and sustained moderate injuries. Motorist stopped and provided insurance information; report taken.
12/7/10 - 10:10 am: Unsafe skateboarding on Central Campus Way at VC. While on vehicle patrol, officer observed suspect on skateboard in the middle of the S/B traffic lane. Officer signaled suspect to stop, but student just smiled and waved. Officer finally stopped suspect and warned him about riding his skateboard in the middle of the traffic lane. Report taken.
12/8/10 - 10:30 am: Unsafe bicycling through quad area at VC. Officer observed suspect traveling through the crowded quad area on his bicycle at a high rate of speed. Officer recognized student from previous contacts for riding a skateboard at a high rate of speed, and contacted Dean of Student Discipline. Report taken.
12/12/10 - 1:45 am: DUI at MC. Officer was on patrol and observed a vehicle fail to stop for a red light. Upon investigation, officer suspected driver was under the influence; after the suspect failed to pass sobriety tests, he was transported to East County Jail, where he was booked without incident. Report taken.
12/12/10 - 9:30 am: Petty theft from swap meet at VC. Victim, a vendor, stated suspect was looking at phones for sale when he took one suddenly, then ran away. Victim provided description to officer; report taken.
12/14/10 - 8:00 am: Graffiti in 2nd floor men's handicap stall at MC. Unknown suspect(s) used green and black marker to write illegible words on frame of stall. Report taken.
12/14/10 - 9:45 am: Petty theft from library at VC. Student took textbook without permission. Officers interviewed and cited subject for petty theft; book was returned to library. Report taken.
