Important Information Regarding COVID-19

On March 18, 2020, the U.S. Congress passed the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA). For California public agencies, including K-12 school districts and colleges, the FFCRA includes two provisions that may impact employees affected by the COVID-19 pandemic: the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act and the Emergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion Act (“Emergency FMLA”). These provision become effective today, April 1, 2020, and expire on December 31, 2020. Make sure you are signed up to receive emergency communications. Log in to my.vcccd.edu. Under Self Service, click on Personal Information. Under the Personal Information Menu, click on Maintain Emergency Alert Information. Update phone numbers listed under the Notification Phone Numbers on File. Then click Save Changes.
