Sadly, on Sunday our nation experienced the worst mass shooting in United States history killing 49 people and wounding 53 more in a packed gay nightclub in Orlando, FL. This hate crime has affected many families and individuals across the world both in and outside of the LGBTQ community. It has also affected many individuals in our lives and on our campus.
In order to support those affected by this tragedy, Tuesday, June 14th, 2016 in the Oxnard College Student Health Center’s Conference Room, we will be hosting an open grief and support group for those who were impacted by this event and want to talk. Students and staff are encouraged to attend. We ask that individuals that do attend are there for support and not to intimidate others.
