Escort Services

At present, only Moorpark College has an official escort program. The Moorpark College Police Office supervises the program, but the equipment and personnel are provided by the Associated Student Body Office. The escorts drive golf cart type vehicles throughout the Moorpark College campus between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. and provide rides to and from the parking lots. They are equipped with radios and flashlights and have direct communication with the College Police Office. In certain situations, students can request to be escorted to and from their class at a specific time. Although Oxnard and Ventura Colleges do not have an escort program, the college police officers will provide escorts when requested to do so. The ability of the on-duty officer(s) to do so depends on the availability of the officer at the time.
