Parking Permits
The VCCCD Police Department, in conjunction with the Student Business Office of each campus, is responsible for issuing and controlling all parking permits for the college campuses and the District Administration Center. Lost or stolen parking permits must be promptly reported to the Student Business Office of the campus where the permit was purchased. By reciprocal agreement, valid staff and student permits issued at the Moorpark, Oxnard and Ventura campuses, as well as the District Administration Center, are honored at all locations.
Permits issued by all three colleges are valid for one semester only and must be affixed to the back of the inside rear view mirror of the vehicle. Permits are valid only for the vehicle for which the permit was purchased. Permits may not be transferred to a different vehicle. On motorcycles and motor scooters, the permit must be attached to the left front shock bar. On automobiles, guest, visitor, vendor and special permits should be displayed on top of the front dashboard inside the windshield. Permits are issued as follows:
- Staff and Student’s Regular Semester Parking Permits are not to be used on any vehicle other than the one for which it was issued.
- Regular Full-Time and Part-time Classified Personnel may obtain a staff-parking permit without charge from the Campus Police Office.
- Part-Time Instructors at Ventura College may obtain staff parking permits without charge from the Human Resources Office in the Ventura College Administration Building.
- Temporary Staff Members, Contractors, and Vendors may obtain special parking permits at no charge from the Campus Police Office.
- Full and Part-Time Students may obtain parking permits at the Student Business Office upon payment of the prescribed parking fee.
- Daily Parking Permits cost $2.00 each and can be purchased at the campus Police Office, parking permit dispensers in the parking lots, or at the Student Business Office. Daily permits are valid only on the campus where they were purchased.
- Disabled Staff Members and Students may obtain supplemental handicapped parking stickers at no charge from the Disabled Students’ Office (also known as DSP or EAC).
* These permits are not valid off campus. - Official Vehicles displaying federal, state or county license plates are presumed to be on official business and do not require parking permits.
- Events Open to the General Public (by advance arrangement with the Campus Police Office) may result in the temporary suspension of the enforcement of permit parking requirements in order to allow community attendance.
