8/01/13 - 9:50 am: Public intoxication near VC. While on patrol, officer noticed a female subject slumped against the back wall of a building. Upon interviewing her, he determined she was so intoxicated she was unable to care for herself, and subsequently arrested and conveyed her to County Main Jail, where she was booked without incident. Report taken.
8/03/13 - 12:00 pm: Passing counterfeit bills at VC Marketplace. Officer was contacted by swap meet manager regarding subject attempting to pay for merchandise with counterfeit bills. Officer contacted subject, who stated he had received the bills for working odd jobs. He brought in the rest of the bills he had and officers contacted the Secret Service, who took the bills. Report taken.
8/7/13 - 7:00 am: Mental subject at MC. Employee reported seeing a suspicious subject wandering around the campus, who when he saw the employee, started shouting threats and obscenities at him. Officer responded and determined that subject was incoherent and uncooperative. Officer requested backup and two Sheriff's Deputies appeared. The subject left the area shortly thereafter. Report taken.
8/14/13 - 4:30 pm: Late report of theft from classroom at MC. Employee came to Campus Police to report unknown person(s) took property belonging to the school sometime between May and July of this year. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.
8/19/13 - 8:00 pm: Minor in possession of alcohol on school grounds at MC. Officer responded to report of suspicious person in AA-lot. Upon arrival to lot, officer spotted suspect running from the police car. He was able to stop the suspect and interview him. During the interview, officer noticed a strong scent of beer coming from suspect. The suspect led the officer to the vehicle where he had been waiting for a companion, and the officer noticed several empty cans of beer in the vehicle. Since the suspect had the keys to the vehicle, the officer cited him for being a minor in possession of alcohol on school campus. Report taken.
8/27/13 - 9:45 am: Hit & run (misdemeanor) in B-lot at MC. Victim came to Campus Police to report unknown vehicle struck his vehicle and fled without leaving a note or insurance information. No suspect or witnesses; report taken.
8/27/13 - 11:00 am: Hit & run (misdemeanor) in H-lot at MC. Officer met victim in H-lot. Victim reported that unknown vehicle struck his vehicle and fled without leaving a note or insurance information. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.
8/30/13 - 9:30 am: Theft of check from office at OC. Victim reported to Campus Police that sometime between 8/26 and 8/30, a check was stolen from her desk. No suspects or witnesses. Report taken.
