10/1/10 - 11:00 pm:  Mutual combat at VC. During patrol, officer observed two females yelling profanities and then attacking each other. Officer was able to separate the combatants. Another subject, male, approached the officer and combatants, and refused to leave. Upon arrival of backup units from Ventura PD, officer was able to disperse all parties. All subjects are being referred to Dean of Student Discipline for misconduct. Report taken.

10/2/10 - 3:30 pm: Vandalism to vehicle in M-lot at MC. Victim came to Police Station to report unknown suspect(s) used unknown tool to scratch the right front door of her car. This has happened twice; once during September (which went unreported) and again on this date. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.

10/3/10 - 2:30 pm:  Group fight at OC. Officers responded to report of altercation involving approximately 70 people after a soccer game at OC. Officers found a large group of people in the process of scattering to their vehicles. Officers received no cooperation from either victims or potential witnesses. Report taken.

10/5/10 - 10:50 am: Hit & run (misdemeanor) in H-lot at OC. Victim came to Police Station to report unknown vehicle struck his car; a witness advised which car had struck his vehicle. Officer was able to locate and interview parties; victim decided not to press charges. Report taken. 

10/5/10 - 7:00 pm:  Vehicle vandalism in grass overflow lot at MC. Victim reported that unknown suspect(s) used a sharp object to scratch driver's side of victim's vehicle; no suspects or witnesses. Report taken.

10/5/10 - 8:35 pm: Medical emergency in PAC bldg at MC. Officer responded to a report of an unresponsive male subject at top of stairs in PAC bldg. Officer checked unconscious subject and requested EMR. During welfare check, officer found drug paraphernalia and prescription medication on subject, and advised EMTs. After EMT had revived him, subject told paramedics he had taken prescription medication and had smoked some heroin. He was transported to hospital for further evaluation. Report taken.

10/7/10 - 3:45 am: Intoxicated individual on VC campus. Officer was alerted by early custodian crew that there was a subject on campus who was unsteady on his feet, wandering around. Officer made contact with subject, who was unaware of his location and had odor of alcohol on him. After several attempts to make subject leave campus, officer arrested individual for his own safety and transported him to County Main Jail, where subject was booked without incident. Report taken.

10/11/10 - 12:50 pm: Theft from vehicle in F-lot at MC. Victim came to Police Station to report that her laptop and bag had been taken without permission from her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.

10/12/10 - 6:00 pm:  Theft from vehicle in P-lot at MC. Victim parked vehicle in P-lot; when she returned, she noticed her parking permit had been removed from her rear-view mirror. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.

10/12/10 - 10:15 am: Arrest for trespassing at VC. Officers were notified by Dean of Student Discipline that subject had his permission to be on campus revoked; officers were consequently notified that subject was in his class. Officers contacted subject and ordered him to leave, or be subject to arrest. Officers were notified a few days laters that subject was in the College Bookstore; they made contact, and subsequently arrested and transported him to County Main Jail, where he was booked without further incident. Report taken.

10/12/10 -7:20 pm:  Theft of bicycle from LRC bldg at OC. Victim came to Police Station to report he had parked his bicycle and secured it at the old LRC bldg; when he returned, most of the bicycle was gone; only the front tire remained chained to the rack. A second victim came to the Police Station and reported the front tire of his bicycle was stolen. No witnesses or suspects; report taken.

10/18/10 - 1:40 pm:  Subject smoking marijuana inside vehicle parked in W-lot at VC. Officer made contact with subject, who was seated in vehicle with engine running and extremely loud music playing (a separate violation.)  Officer noticed very strong smell of burned marijuana emanating from vehicle. Subject stated he was a medical marijuana patient but could not produce card. Subject remained cooperative during interview and search of vehicle, which produced a quantity of marijuana cigarettes. Officers confiscated the marijuana, and cited and released subject. He was also reported to Dean of Student Conduct. Report taken.

10/19/10 - 4:25 pm: Subject causing disturbance in VC cafeteria. Officer responded to complaint of subject yelling at students in cafeteria and made contact with subject, who was intoxicated. Subject was escorted off campus, and was told not to return until he had met with Dean of Student Discipline, or he would be subject to arrest. Report taken and referral made to Dean of Student Discipline.

10/20/10 - 8:20 pm: Subject displaying false disabled placard at VC. Officer observed vehicle parked in a handicapped stall of the V-lot displaying an old, damaged placard that had been printed on paper. Officer ran the premit number through Dispatch, and it came back as expired. Subject returned to vehicle, and officer conducted traffic stop. Subject admitted to knowingly displaying the placard; he was cited and released. Report taken.

10/26/10 - 1:00 pm:  Hit & run (misdemeanor) in D-lot at MC. Officer was contacted by victim, who stated she wished to report a hit & run. Victim reported she returned to her vehicle and found a note on the windshield with a phone number, but no further information. She noticed damage to the driver's side front fender and bumper. She was contacted by a witness who told her that a large vehicle had struck hers as it was leaving the stall. Victim attempted to contact the party on the phone number, but received an out of service message, at which time she contacted police. Report filed.

10/28/10 - 10:50 am: Hit & run (misdemeanor) in AA-lot at MC. Victim came to Campus Police station to report she found damage to the rear bumper area of her vehicle. She did not find any notes on her vehicle, nor did she have any witnesses or suspects. Report taken.

10/29/10 - 5:00 pm: Petty theft from vehicle in E-lot at VC. Victim reported to Campus Police that she found driver side window had been smashed and her wallet taken from the passenger side seat. No witnesses or suspects; report taken.
