3/01/11 - 3:00 pm: Petty theft from LRC at VC. Victim reported he left a textbook on the table where he had been working. When he returned for it, it was gone. No witnesses or suspects; report taken.

3/02/11 - 12:00 pm: Hit & run (misdemeanor) in E-lot at VC. Victim came to Campus Police Station to report unknown vehicle struck front passenger side and fled, causing moderate damage. Suspect did not leave note or insurance information. No witnesses or suspects; report taken.

3/03/11 - 8:00 am:  Petty theft from PA bldg at MC. Officer responded to report of possible burglary at the PA building. Employee reported that he found doors opened that should have been secured, and a monitor missing. No suspects or witnesses; investigation continues. Report taken.

3/05/11 - 8:00 am: Graffiti found in men's restroom at the OC gym. Officer found illegible markings in pink marker on one of the stalls in the men's room. Report taken.

3/08/11 - 12:00 pm: Disturbance at VC gym. Employee reported a student was acting suspiciously at the Fitness Center and had to be told to leave several times. Officer was advised of subject's name and description. Investigation continues; report taken.

3/08/11 - 7:15 pm: Student misconduct at OC. Victim reported ex-boyfriend took her backpack and refused to return it. Officer made contact with suspect and the suspect admitted taking the backpack but stated he would return it. He was admonished and released. Report taken.

3/9/11 - 10:30 am:  Annoyance at MC. Victim reported that she has been receiving unwanted attention from a fellow student. Subject has been following victim to class, frequently interrupts her when she's speaking to other students, and staring at her. Investigation continues. Report taken.

3/9/11 - 4:55 pm: Theft of laptop computer from STEM at OC. Employee reported laptop missing and suspicious subject running northbound towards H-lot, but police were unable to locate him. Report taken.

3/11/11 - 10:00 am: Theft of bicycle from east side of LRC. Victim came to Campus Police Station to report his bicycle, which had been locked to a bike rack with cable & key lock, had been taken. Cameras were checked, with negative results. Report taken.

3/13/11 - 12:00 pm: Alcohol on school grounds at VC. During routine patrol, officers encountered a transient person asleep on the softball field. During interview, officers found subject had two containers of vodka on his person. The vodka was poured out and the transient asked to leave. Later, a concerned person reported that the transient was back and watching a softball game, while consuming alcohol on the school premises. Officers responded, found another container of vodka on the subject, and poured it out again. Subject was cited for having alcohol on school grounds and told that if he returned that day, he would be subject to arrest for trespassing. Subject was cooperative and left the grounds. Report taken.

3/21/11 - 4:00 pm: Trespassing at VC. Officer responded to report that a former student was in the Library and talking to a former classmate. The classmate asked him to leave her alone; subject was cooperative and left. The former student had been told before to leave campus and not return unless given permission, which he did not have on this occasion. Report taken. 

3/22/11 - 1:30 pm: Possession of stolen property at VC. Victim came to Campus Police Station to report that he had inadvertently left his cell phone at the VC Financial Aid office. A family member texted his cell number with offer of a reward, and the person who had taken the phone responded. After several messages, the phone was returned. Victim pressing charges against the subject. Report taken.

3/23/11 - 7:30 pm:  License plates stolen from vehicle parked at MC. Victim called to report his front and rear license plates had been stolen while he was at MC. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.

3/23/11 - 7:15 pm: Arrest at OC. Officer responded to report of suspicious person loitering on campus. Upon interview with suspect, officer found that there were outstanding warrants on the suspect, who was then arrested and transported to County Main Jail without further incident.

3/24/11 - 2:00 pm:  Person trapped in vehicle at VC. Officers responded to a report of person trapped in vehicle. While purchasing a parking permit, the subject's car rolled forward and some bushes kept the door from opening. The officers were able to move vegetation creating the blockage and the subject was released without injury. He expressed his appreciation of the assistance provided by the officers. Report taken.

3/25/11 - 10:15 am: Disruptive student near VC Library. Officers responded to call of possible suicidal subject near the LRC. During interview, subject became combative with officers. He was handcuffed and taken into custody after a brief struggle. He was transported to mental health facility. Report taken.

3/28/11 - 2:45 pm: Possession of alcohol on school grounds at OC. Officer was monitoring surveillance cameras and observed the suspect near the athletic field near C lot drinking a beer. Officer made contact with the suspect, and cited and released him. Report taken.

3/30/11 - 1:45 pm: Lewd conduct in women's restroom at OC. Officer responded to report of a male and female engaged in improper conduct in the women's restroom. Witness reported seeing two people inside one stall, and notified police.  Officer interviewed both parties and determined that the activity was consensual. The subjects were cited and released for lewd conduct. Report taken.

3/30/11 - 6:30 pm: Theft of catalytic converter from vehicle in A-lot at MC. Victim reported parking her vehicle in the A-lot; when she returned, there was a loud noise coming from the engine. She looked under the vehicle and found the catalytic converter had been removed. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.

3/30/11 - 9:00 pm:  Theft of catalytic converter from vehicle in A-lot at MC. Victim notified officer as he was responding to another report of catalytic converter theft, that the victim's catalytic converter had also been taken. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.

3/31/11 - 5:00 pm: Domestic violence report at OC. Officer responded to report of victim at the Student Health Center who wanted to report that her spouse had been physically abusive. Officer took report; investigation continues.
