6/1/10 - 1:00 pm: Hit & run (misdemeanor) in H-lot at OC. Unknown vehicle struck victim's car and fled without leaving note or information. Vehicle sustained moderate damage to passenger side rear quarter panel. Report taken.
6/5/10 - 3:10 pm: Fight at VC Market Place. Officers responded to a call of a fight in progress. A vendor and customer were in dispute over an item, and the customer struck the vendor repeatedly, then fled. Report taken; pending investigation.
6/5/10 - 1:00 pm: Slip and fall at VC Athletic Center. During a high school graduation, victim slipped and fell down a flight of stairs, sustaining considerable bruising but no serious injury. Report taken.
6/6/10 - 5:15 am: Walkway light struck by vehicle at OC. Employee was driving his personal vehicle on the campus to load some equipment. As he was backing up in the office area, the vehicle struck a small walkway light. Report taken.
6/12/10 - 7:30 am: Grand theft from construction site at MC. Officer contacted an individual who was wandering around a fenced-off construction site. The subject indicated he was looking for his "stolen tools." The officer asked if he worked at the construction site, and the subject responded that no, he had been by the Administration Building earlier with a friend and left his vehicle unguarded for approximately 10 minutes. When he got to his work site, he found 2 bags containing his tools were missing. The officer asked if the subject had checked to see if the tools had been in the truck when the subject left home that morning; subject said he had not, and he had not actually seen anyone remove the tools from his truck at the campus. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.
6/17/10 - 12:30 pm: Slip and fall at VC gym. Subject was walking down the stairs to the Athletic Center, when she slipped and fell, landing on her back and striking her head on the step. EMT was contacted and responded, but she refused transportation for further evaluation. Report taken.
6/18/10 - Injury at VC. Officer responded to report of injured subject in W-lot at VC. When he arrived at the scene, he found some juveniles on bicycles. One had fallen off his bike and injured his arm. The officer examined the subject, who was unable to move his fingers and was complaining of pain, determined the arm might be broken, and contacted EMT, who responded. The juvenile's mother was also contacted, who appeared and transported the subject to the hospital for further evaluation. Report taken.
6/21/10 - 11:45 am: Graffiti on storage shed in baseball field at OC. Officer responded to a report of graffiti on a storage shed in the northeast corner of the baseball field. Unknown person(s) had written, in black spray paint, the words "COXCH 5150," "COLONIA GANG," and the moniker "LEVELS," on both the shed and a light pole. The officer interviewed a staff member, who indicated the graffiti had occurred over the weekend. After taking pictures, the officer contacted M&O to have the graffiti removed. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.
6/22/10 - 11:00 am: Child annoyance at VC. Officers responded to a complaint that subject had spoken to victim during class, referring to him as "Homie" and making the victim afraid and uncomfortable. The subject was interviewed by officers and advised to stay away from victim. Report taken.
6/24/10 - 11:45 am: Report of "Peeping Tom" in LRC at VC. Officers responded to report of male subject entering female restroom and looking up into occupied stalls. The officers made contact with the subject, who was mentally disabled, and he admitted being in the female restroom. Officers found the subject's caregiver, and advised her to keep a closer watch on subject. All parties left the LRC with no further incidents. Report taken.
6/24/10 - 7:25 pm: Offensive conduct towards cadet by subject in C-lot at VC. Subject became verbally abusive when he found a cadet issuing a parking citation for vehicle parked in a handicapped parking space without a placard. Report taken.
6/28/10 - 10:25 am: Medical incident in K bldg at VC. Officers responded to report of student having a seizure in the K building. Upon arrival, student was unresponsive. Officer monitored student's vital signs until EMT arrived; student was transported by ambulance to the hospital for further evaluation. Report taken.
6/28/10 - 11:25 am: Grand theft from CDC parking lot at VC. Victim left jewelry in center console of vehicle in unsecured vehicle; when she returned, jewelry was gone. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.
6/29/10 - 12:30 pm: Hit & run (misdemeanor) in C-lot at MC. Victim's vehicle was struck on driver side rear fender area by unknown vehicle, which then fled without leaving a note, in violation of law. The accident was witnessed and the witness provided victim with a license plate and vehicle description. Investigation continues.
6/29/10 - 2:30 pm: Petty theft from classroom at VC. Staff member reported that a projector screen was taken from classroom. Officer checked various locations but was unable to locate it. Report taken.
6/29/10 - 5:15: Arrest of subject with warrant at OC. Officer conducted a traffic stop on subject who made an illegal U-turn and almost caused a traffic accident; while interviewing subject, it was found he had outstanding warrant. Subject was arrested and transported to Ventura Main Jail without incident. Report taken.
6/30/10 - 1:00 pm: Vandalism to hut in H-lot at OC. While on patrol, officer noticed the glass window of the small building had been kicked in. The hut was empty and nothing appeared to be missing; no suspects or witnesses. Report taken.
