4/05/10 - 9:30 pm: Hit & run (misdemeanor) in E-lot at VC. Victim reported to campus police that unknown vehicle struck her car and fled. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.
4/06/10 - 9:30 am: Theft from library cubicle at MC. Victim placed backpack on the floor next to his chair while studying. Unknown person(s) took backpack during victim's absence from cubicle for a few minutes. No witnesses or suspects; investigation continues.
4/06/10 - 10:00 am: Theft from construction site at OC. Contractor reported unknown person(s) used unknown means to remove 2 tons of rebar from construction site. Material last seen several days ago. No witnesses or suspects; report taken and investigation continues.
4/06/10 - 1:45 pm: Theft of bicycle from J-bldg at VC. Victim came to the Campus Police Station to report that she had left her bicycle unattended in front of the J-bldg and found upon her return, that unknown person(s) had removed it. She did not give permission for anyone to take it. Report taken.
4/10/10 - 11:50 am: Misuse of handicapped placard at OC. Officer contacted subject in vehicle and about placard. Subject indicated the placard was his mother's, who was not present at the time. Officer cited the subject for misuse of placard and confiscated placard, to be returned to DMV.
4/13/10 - 4:30 pm: Theft from FH bldg at MC. Victim reported that unknown person(s) removed a laptop computer from her bag while she was making copies. No witnesses or suspects; report taken.
4/15/10 - 1:30 pm: Theft from East Campus Center. Staff member reported a laptop computer missing from the East Campus Center. No suspects or witnesses; report taken and investigation continues.
4/16/10 - 9:00 am: Dispute in PA parking lot at MC. 2 persons were involved in a dispute over right of way; officer responded and took report.
4/19/10 - 4:00 pm: Assault in gym at VC. Victim was pepper-sprayed by an irate female acquaintance who was jealous of him. The suspect had also sent him threatening text messages. Officers responded and contacted the suspect, who admitted spraying the victim; during the interview, it was revealed that suspect was on probation for assault. She was subsequently arrested and transported to County Main Jail, where she was booked without incident.
4/20/10 - 9:00 am: Arrest of individual with outstanding felony warrants at OC. Suspect was parked in a red zone, blocking traffic, while waiting for a friend to finish class. Officer made contact with suspect; upon determining that suspect had 2 felony warrants, the officer arrested and subsequently transported him to County Main Jail, where he was booked without incident.
4/21/10 - 10:00 am: Theft of laptop from SCI bldg at VC. Employee reported that a laptop last used around 2 weeks ago was unable to be located. No suspects or witnesses; report taken and investigation continues.
4/21/10 - 2:30 pm: Fight in VC gym. Officers responded to report of disturbance in the gym. While playing basketball, words were exchanged between 2 male subjects. One struck the other, then ran. The second subject caught the first, and blows were exchanged. Officers interviewed both parties, then advised them against further disruptive behavior; report taken.
4/21/10 - 3:00 pm: Theft of copper wiring from electrical panel at El Camino High School and VC. Unknown person(s) removed wiring, yet left electrical service in place. Panel is tied in with one at VC; padlock and chain on box at VC was missing, and wiring was gone from the VC box as well. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.
4/25/10 - 11:00 am: Vandalism to vehicle parked in W lot at VC. Victim reported that while he was attending a basketball game, unknown person(s) used unknown sharp object to scratch a line from the back to the front bumper of his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.
4/26/10 - 10:15 am: Student struck on bicycle by car at Rose and Gary Drive, near OC. Student reported the accident to SHC after he noticed he had sustained scrapes to left knee and forearm; he stated that he had told the driver to leave the scene since he didn't feel any initial pain or have any injuries directly after the accident.
4/26/10 - 4:10 pm: Graffiti found in men's restroom in the main gym at OC. Unknown person(s) wrote the words "LUBER," "SYNAR," "SUNK," "FEOK," and "HOMERS" in the south side far corner stall, using black permanent marker. No suspects or witnesses at this time; report taken.
4/27/10 - 8:00 pm: Subject fainted in class at VC. Police responded to report of individual who had passed out during a class. Upon arrival, subject was alert, oriented and not experiencing any pain. Subject was released to his parent. Report taken.
4/28/10 - 4:00 pm: Graffiti found in men's restroom near TR-4 at MC. Unknown person(s), using black permanent marker, wrote an unknown word on south wall of restroom; also, scribble markings found on west side. No suspects or witnesses; report taken.
4/29/10 - 8:00 am: Report of suspect selling methamphetamine on campus at VC. Anonymous party made report to police that an individual has been selling methamphetamine on campus; provided a description and information. Investigation continues.
