August 18, 2011 - Nightly Maintenance Message
A message is displayed for students during the nightly maintenance schedule when certain internal systems become unavailable. There is a warning message first, then an offline status message.
Exact times in these screenshots are subject to change and colors will vary depending on campus.
August 1, 2011 - Purchase Parking Permits Online
Students can now purchase parking permits online via MyVCCCD. Click on the Parking Permits link in the Registration and Records channel. See Purchasing Student Parking Permits for more information.
March 29, 2011 - Troubleshooting Information on Login Page
Troubleshooting information is available on the MyVCCCD login page by clicking on the Student Support button. This information will assist in troubleshooting login issues during help desk calls.
January 24, 2011 - Financial Aid Channels
There are two channels for Financial Aid students under the Services for Students tab. The "Financial Aid Requirements" channel displays the satisfied and not satisfied requirements for Financial Aid processing. The "Student Work Study Balance" channel is only displayed for Federal Work Study students.
September 3, 2010 - Learning Center Channel
The Learning Center channel is now available for all students on the Library & Learning Resources tab. Information such as hours and location of various learning resources at the campuses are now conveniently located in one channel. The following screenshot is from the perspective of a student attending Oxnard College.
April 2, 2010 - Tab Interface in Channels
Channels with information from multiple campuses like the Campus Announcements now have a tabbed user interface. A tabbed interface separates information into categories switchable via tabs and allows for displaying more information with less screen space. As an added feature, the campus tab for the student's primary campus will automatically appear in the forefront.
February 22, 2010 - Library Online Resources
Access to all campus library online resources now available via MyVCCCD. Simply click the "Online databases" icon on the "Learning Resources" tab:

September 3, 2009 - Kick-off Student Migration Wizard
Starting September 8, 2009, a migration wizard will be started so students can more easily migrate from using WebSTAR to using MyVCCCD. The migration wizard will be optional for 90 days so students can continue to use WebSTAR. By the end of the Fall 2009 semester, students still using WebSTAR will be required to start using MyVCCCD. So encourage your classmates and friends to make the migration as early as possible.

September 3, 2009 - Added Directory of Student Services
The Directory of Student Services channel has been added to the Services for Students tab. This channel lists all of the services for students available at the campus. Each channel listing is a collapsible link when clicked on opens up with the service website link, phone number and building information.
This preview is for Ventura College. Other campuses will see something similar with their respective campus colors.
September 3, 2009 - Update Registration and Records Channel
The Registration and Records channel has an updated look and a collapsing feature so it takes up less space on the webpage. Links in the collapsed sections can be viewed by clicking on the header. Here's a preview:

August 10, 2009 - Student Username/ID Lookup
Students may lookup their username by clicking on the "Forgot Username?" link on the MyVCCCD login page. They may lookup the username using their 900# or their SSN.
July 1, 2009 - Student Email Forwarding
Email forwarding settings have been added the "My Account" screen in the portal. See Tips and Tricks for more information.
May 14, 2009 - Student Pilot Groups Using MyVCCCD
The first of the student pilot groups are using the new MyVCCCD portal to access courses, register, sign into the new student email and more!

June 28, 2012 - New Sophos Antivirus 10
Sophos Antivirus 10 has been posted for employees for home use. The download is available in MyVCCCD under Employee Information tab in the Information Technology channel. The installer is silent. The Sophos logo appears in the system tray after successful installation.

March 11, 2011 - New Outlook Web App
With the upgrade to Exchange 2010 email server, the Outlook Web Access is now Outlook Web App 2010. The new interface more closely functions like the Outlook 2010 email software. There are number of new features available in Outlook Web App.
February 25, 2011 - Revised HR Tools
HR Tools has a new website design and layout. Documents in HR Tools are now stored centrally, improving the ease of finding documents for end-users and management of the documents for Human Resources. HR Tools was also renamed from HR Toolbox.
January 24, 2011 - Lynda.com Online Training
VCCCD is providing Lynda.com online employee training via MyVCCCD.
January 14, 2011 - Online Assignment Request Form (ARF)
An online Assignment Request Form is now available in addition to the PDF form. This saves from printing and filling out the form manually. Information from the form is stored in internal systems saving processing time for HR staff.

December 3, 2009 - New Look for the Employee Portal
The employee portal has had a makeover! The new look brings it more in-line with the look of the student portal as well as making it easier to use.
October 9, 2009 - Information Technology Channel
The new Information Technology channel is on the Employee Information tab. Including system status, the channel features academic discounts links, antivirus software for employees, and help desk contacts.

August 28, 2009 - New Login Page
As part of the ongoing evolution of the MyVCCCD portal and also in preparation for student access, the Login page has undergone an extensive re-design and will be available beginning Mon. Aug. 31. A sneak peek of the new look:
August 26, 2009 - Print Rosters Link
A link to print faculty rosters has been added to the web page where rosters are displayed. This will take care of the problem with rosters not being able to print with correct formatting.
August 25, 2009 - Instructor's Detailed Class Schedule
A direct link to Instructor's detailed class schedule has been added to the Webstar Shortcuts channel under the Faculty tab in the portal.
August 10, 2009 - New RSS feeds
Two new RSS feeds have been added to the portal. They are feeds from Faculty Focus and the Ventura County Star. Employees will need to add these channels to their portal layout using the Content Layout link.
July 16, 2009 - Library Information Channel
The Library Information channel is now available to all Faculty and College Employees. Faculty and College Employees will need to add this channel to their portal layout using the Content Layout link.
July 1, 2009 - Personal Alerts Channel Expanded
The Personal Alerts channel has been expanded to display 10 messages instead of 3. If more than 6 messages are listed in the channel, scroll bars will be shown so the channel will not grow to large.

May 11, 2009 - Username Lookup Added to MyVCCCD Login Page
A username and employee/student ID look up form has been added to the MyVCCCD login page. If someone has forgotten their username, or is new and doesn't know it, figuring it out is as easy as answering a few simple questions.
April 6, 2009 - Banner Testing Tab is Opt-In
The Banner Testing tab has been removed from default portal layout and made opt-in. If you would like to access the Banner test databases and applications or need to access the Banner Bookshelf, you will need to subscribe to this tab. April 6, 2009 - New Look for Announcement Channels
The look of the District and Campus Announcement channels has been updated to be more readable. In addition the announcements have been "collapsed" to save space. By default only the title and date of the announcement will be visible. To read the announcement or download attachments, click the title bar.

April 6, 2009 - Portal News Channel
A Portal News channel has been added to the Work Life tab (under My Applications). This channel will provide information about recent and upcoming changes to the portal as well as tips and tricks and a suggestion box. The suggestion boxes are location specific, one for each of the colleges and the district office.
