Windows Mobile 6 Setup (Wireless)
These instructions will setup a Windows Mobile 6 device for wireless synchronization with the VCCCD Exchange mail server. End-user must meet the following minimum requirements (1) Windows Mobile device is running at least Windows Mobile 6 and (2) device is on a wireless data plan. These screenshots were taken from a Motorola Q Global phone (actual screens may vary by cell phone).
Start Internet Explorer.
Hit the Start button.

Run Internet Explorer (sometimes the icon is found in Applications).

Download and Install Certificate.
Surf to www.vcccd.edu/cert and download the certificate. Click yes when prompted to download the certificate file.

This message appears shortly after the certificate has been downloaded and confirms the certificate was installed correctly.

Open Messaging.
Messaging is in the Start menu.

Add New E-mail Account.

Enter E-mail Address and Turn Off Auto Settings.
Turn OFF the "Try to get e-mail settings automatically..." feature.

Set Provider to Exchange.

Click Next to Outlook with Exchange.

Enter Configuration.
- Username is the first part of your email address before the @ symbol.
- Password is your MyVCCCD password (can also be your Active Directory or Outlook Web Access password as well).
- Domain is AD.
- Turn ON "Save password" and click Next.

Select Synchronization Options.
Choose the Outlook features you'd like synced to your phone.

Start ActiveSync.
ActiveSync is under the Start menu.

If synchronization has not started, click the Sync button.

Enforce Security Policies.
Click OK when prompted with this alert.

Open Outlook E-mail.
Run Messaging then choose Outlook E-mail.

Open Contacts.
