Project Objectives & Notable Features:

New facilities will include:

• Soccer field with synthetic track and bleachers for 2500;
• Restrooms with space for concessions;
• New sound system for baseball field and soccer stadium;
• Women's softball stadium;
• Pressbox for baseball fields.

Renovations will include:

• Existing Gymnasium building to accommodate gender equity regulations (Title IX) - including locker rooms,team coaching rooms and expanded equipment rooms;
• Video education rooms and student athletics tutorial center;
• New concession stand;
• Gym bleachers repairs;
• New training room.

Implementation Strategy:

One architect was selected for athletics projects on all Ventura County Community College District campuses to ensure consistency and to expedite both new and renovated interior, exterior, and athletics field work. These became "Quick Start" projects to precede more extensive campus development projects.
