Project Description:

The Academic Center will be a multi-story facility, which acts as a bridge uniting the upper and lower campus - particularly for disabled students, faculty, staff and visitors. The Academic Center will be located between the new Learning Resources & Telecommunications Center, Applied Arts Building and Gymnasium and adjacent to the sloping hillside at parking lot "F". The Academic Center will be a steel-framed, concrete masonry unit (CMU) facility. The Academic Center will provide space for:

• 20 classrooms: capable of seating 50 students;
• 13 classrooms: capable of seating 35 students;
• 2 classroom spaces: capable of expanding to accept seating of 80-100 students;
• Staff offices, conference room, storage and support facilities.
