OC SEEKS OUTDOOR SCULPTURE

OXNARD COLLEGE SEEKS OUTDOOR SCULPTURE ART – Sculpture artists are invited to participate in the Oxnard Visual Art Outdoors Sculpture Exhibition, providing established and emerging artists the opportunity to display their sculptures at Oxnard College. Dean of Liberal Studies Gwendolyn Lewis Huddleston chairs the Oxnard College Outdoor Arts committee which invites artists to install their sculptures on loan or as a gift to the college. Oxnard College is seeking sculpture of all genres at several locations on the beautifully landscaped campus, which includes major pedestrian pathways, quiet garden quads and the new Student Services and Administration building, which will host a grand opening this fall. In Spring of 2011, a new Performing Arts Auditorium and classroom complex opens and the following year a new Library and Learning Resource Center will open. Interested artists will have several opportunities to display their works, according to Dean Lewis Huddleston.
